TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIFTGATE INDEPENDENTLY CLOSED WHILE IN USE. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
