Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, THE LOW OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STOPPED AND CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL AND THE DIPSTICK SHOWED THE CORRECT OIL LEVEL. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND A "NO OIL PRESSURE" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL PUMP FAILED, WHICH DAMAGED THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
