Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER SYSTEM WAS DEFECTIVE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND UNOCCUPIED, THE GEAR SHIFTED OUT OF PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AND CAME TO A STOP AGAINST A SIGN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE AND PLACED THE GEAR INTO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V395000 (POWER TRAIN), BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
