Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 TOYOTA TACOMA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE STRAP THAT HELD THE FUEL TANK WAS CORRODED AND DETACHED. THE CONTACT INDEPENDENTLY REPLACED THE STRAPS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUBFRAME WAS CORRODED AND COULD NOT BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. UPDATED 08/02/16*LJ
