Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE TRUNK, THE LIFT GATE HANDLE WAS LOOSEN FROM THE LOCK HITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LIFT GATE NEEDED TWO LONGER SCREWS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.
