Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC SIERRA 1500. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS BLINKED ON AND OFF. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE BODY CONTROL MODULE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,843....UPDATED 05/19/16 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE AIRBAG SDM MODULE WAS CORRODED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE FAILURE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORRECTED UNDER THE RECALL. UPDATED 11/2/2017*JS *TR
