Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS ALERTED THAT SMOKE WAS EMERGING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT WERE PRESENT AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
