Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION AND THE SEAT BELTS FAILED TO RETRACT ON IMPACT. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT LUNGED FORWARD, BUMPED HER HEAD AGAINST THE DOOR FRAME, AND LOST CONSCIOUSNESS. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION AND THE OTHER TWO PASSENGERS SUSTAINED MINOR BRUISING. ALL THREE OCCUPANTS REQUIRED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND SENT AN ENGINEER TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000. UPDATED 05/11/16*BF *TR
