Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERNAL ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION THAT DRAINED THE BATTERY VOLTAGE RANDOMLY AND THE VEHICLE STALED. THE BATTERY AND TWO FUSES WERE REPLACED BY THE CONTACT, BUT THE FAILURE RANDOMLY PROGRESSED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO HAVE A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER AND RANDOMLY STALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY FOR THE CONDITION SO THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD BE REPAIRED. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
