Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE WINDSHIELD SUDDENLY DEVELOPED A CRACK LOCATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE CRACK EXTENDED APPROXIMATELY 7 INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD AND OVER THE HEATING ELEMENT. DURING THE INCIDENT, THE HEATING ELEMENT WAS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,500.
