Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO TURN, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
