Consumer Description

VEHICLE HAVING PROBLEM WITH ABS MODULE. SAME AS MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ON NHTSA WEBSITE. AT RANDOM TIMES, BRAKE AND ABS LIGHTS COME ON AND SPEEDOMETER DROPS TO ZERO. MAY LAST FOR ONE OR SEVERAL MINUTES AND EVENTUALLY RETURNS TO NORMAL. ALTERNATES BETWEEN FUNCTIONING AND NOT BUT HAS BEEN MALFUNCTIONING MORE THAN IT WORKS. MECHANIC DIAGNOSED PROBLEM AS ABS MODULE. BRAKES SEEM TO BE FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY BUT NOT SURE IF WORKING IN ABS MODE. BASED ON COMPLAINTS ON WEBSITE, CAN'T BELIEVE NHTSA HAS NOT FORCED A RECALL.
