Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND ALSO WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS. IN ADDITION, ONCE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, IT FAILED TO RELEASE. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND THE BRAKE PEDAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V154000 (SERVICE BRAKES, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
