Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. WHEN THE CONTACT STARTED THE PARKED VEHICLE, A LOUD KNOCKING SOUND WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. THE THROTTLE CONTROL/TRANSMISSION AND THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 20 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
