Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2008 CHEVROLET UPLANDER. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND DROVE INTO A RAVINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LEFT EYE, A BLOW OUT FRACTURE AROUND THE EYE, CRANIAL FRACTURE, AND BRUISING THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
