Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE GEARS SLIPPED INTO NEUTRAL WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE STALLED, BUT THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING AND THE GEAR SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL. ONCE THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED, THE RPMS INCREASED. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO SHIFT THE GEAR INTO DRIVE WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,800.
