Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTIONED AND THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO EXCEED 30 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK THAT IT WAS PURCHASED WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO KEEP THE VEHICLE IN OVERDRIVE AND NOT THE REGULAR DRIVE GEAR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE MALFUNCTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
