Consumer Description

I HAD JUST LEFT A STOP LIGHT WHEN THE SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY THE STABILITRAC SYSTEM IS OFF . HAD TO PULL INTO A PARKING LOT TURN OFF ENGINE FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS TO RESET SYSTEM . IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY IN THE PARKING LOT AT THE LOCAL WALMART .I'M AFRAID TO TAKE A LONG TRIP. ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH NOISE IN THE STERRING COLLUM . GMC DEALER SAYS THE RACK AND PINION IS RUBBING AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED . THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT . HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN ? *TR
