Consumer Description

I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND THE STEERING COLUMN STARTED TO VIBRATE AND THEN THE POWER STEERING WENT COMPLETELY OUT. MY VEHICLE WAS DOING THE SAME THING LAST SUMMER AND I RECEIVED A MAILED POSTCARD WITH A POWER STEERING RECALL. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER AND THEY RESET A SENSOR. IT HAD BEEN WORKING FINE UNTIL TWO WEEKS AGO. THE POWER STEERING HAS GONE OUT SEVERAL MORE TIMES FOR SHORT PERIODS. I CALLED FORD REGARDING THE ISSUE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD DO NOTHING FOR ME THIS TIME & THAT THE REPAIRS WOULD BE AT MY EXPENSE. I FEEL AS IF THE POWER STEERING GOING OUT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND BECAUSE OF THE RECALL FROM LAST SUMMER, FORD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT. UPDATED 09/23/15.*JB
