Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH, THE REAR DRIVE SHAFT DETACHED AND THE FRONT TIRES SEIZED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PINION NUT ON THE REAR DRIVE SHAFT DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
