Consumer Description

PURCHASED VEHICLE IN NOV 2013. RECEIVED RECALL FOR BRAKE BOOSTER IN MAY 2014 (P14/NHTSA 14V-154). CALLED AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY WOULD CALL WHEN THE PART WAS RECEIVED. NO CALL TO DATE. RECEIVED SECOND RECALL NOTICE VIA MAIL ON 12/26/14. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT COMING IN VERY QUICKLY. RECOMMENDED I FILE THIS COMPLAINT WITH THE NHTSA. ALSO STATED THAT THEY WERE DOING THE SECOND RECALL FOR SUN VISOR WIRING, RECEIVED IN AUG 2014, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BRAKE BOOSTER, WHEN/IF THE PARTS ARRIVE. (P36/NHTSA 14V-391). THIS REPORT IS FILED TO COMPLY WITH THE DIRECTIONS OF THE RECALL THAT STATE "IF YOUR DEALER FAILS OR IS UNABLE TO REMEDY THE DEFECT WITHOUT CHARGE AND WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME, YOU MAY SUBMIT A WRITTEN COMPLAINT TO THE ADMINISTRATOR".
