Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH AND MAKING A TURN, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD SCRAPING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THE FAILURE OCCURRED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER AND REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE DEALER STATED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED.
