Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. WHEN SHIFTING GEARS OR DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE JOLTED. ADDITIONALLY, THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT WOULD ONLY CIRCULATE WHILE DRIVING. WHILE AT A STOP, THE AIR CONDITIONING WOULD NOT RELEASE COLD AIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION AND A DEFECT WITHIN THE AIR LINES, WHICH POTENTIALLY CAUSED THE AIR CONDITIONING TO MALFUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
