Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING IN PARK, IT ERRONEOUSLY ACCELERATED TO 5 MPH AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO DRIVER IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH, BUT THERE WAS A FRONT PASSENGER AND A SECOND ROW PASSENGER. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED AN INJURY TO THE LEFT FOOT AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION DUE TO ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE MOVING VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD THE VEHICLE EXAMINED BY AN INVESTIGATOR WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.
