Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FOCUS. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILED TO UNLOCK BOTH MANUALLY OR WITH THE KEY FOB. THE CONTACT HAD TO CRAWL INTO THE PASSENGER SEAT AND EXIT THROUGH THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
