Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE MAKING A RAPID LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND A CHIME SOUNDED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A BURN FROM THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT AND DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FROM THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000.
