Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TURNING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SWERVE INTO A DITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT A BLOWN FUSE CAUSED THE POWER STEERING TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THAT CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA 14V153000 (STEERING) AND THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,671.
