Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE CLOSING THE REAR LIFT GATE GLASS, THE PASSENGER SIDE HINGE SUDDENLY FRACTURED CAUSING THE LIFT GATE GLASS TO BECOME UNSECURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INDICATED THAT THE HINGE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
