Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE SHE ATTEMPTED TO HITCH A TRAILER AND DISCOVERED THAT THE RECEIVING HITCH BOLD WAS FRACTURED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE HITCH BOLD AND THE BOLT DID NOT SECURE THE AREA CAUSING THE BOLT HOLE TO EXPAND. THE HITCH HAD TO BE WELDED TO THE VEHICLE BUT THE TRAILER MOVED WHILE HAULING AND THE WELDING MAY FRACTURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
