TL * THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED AND SMOKE EMITTED WITHOUT WARNING. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE OR NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
