Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET HHR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED WITHOUT WARNING AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HARD TO TURN. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 14V153000 (STEERING) HOWEVER, THE CONTACT'S VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
