Consumer Description

I RECEIVED AN OFFICIAL RECALL NOTICE FOR MY VEHICLE (RECALL NOTICE N49/NHTSA 13V-529) AFFECTING THE LEFT TIE ROD. I HAVE TRIED HAVING MY TRUCK SERVICED AT TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS FOR THIS RECALL SINCE RECEIVING THIS NOTICE IN LATE DECEMBER 2013. THE DEALERSHIPS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SCHEDULE MY SERVICE BECAUSE THEY SAY CHRYSLER IS HAVING DIFFICULTY SENDING THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. THE REPAIR DELAY (THREE MONTHS) IS UNREASONABLE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED WITH CHRYSLER. IS IT POSSIBLE FOR OWNERS LIKE ME TO PURCHASE QUALITY AFTER MARKET PARTS TO REPAIR/ADDRESS ONLY THE RECALL ISSUES AND HAVE CHRYSLER COVER THE COST IF CHRYSLER IS HAVING DIFFICULTY FINDING SUITABLE QUALITY PARTS VENDORS? *TR
