Consumer Description

[XXX] OF APOLLO CASUALTY COMPANY INSURANCE AS SUBROGEE OF [XXX], OUR INSURED SAYS WE WERE DRIVING WEST ON STEARNS ROAD WHEN WE NOTICED A PLASTIC/RUBBER SMELL COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD. ABOUT 30 SECONDS LATER WE NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH. AT WHICH POINT WE PULLED OVER AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. I WALKED OVER TO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO CHECK ON THE SMOKE AND IMMEDIATELY NOTICED FLAMES FROM UP UNDER THE DASH. WE BACKED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AND WITHIN TWO MINUTES THE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES.
