Consumer Description

LOSS OF POWER STEERING. POWER STEERING PUMP WAS REPLACED AT APPROX. 9000 MILES FOR A FAILURE THEN UNDER GM WARRANTY. CAR NOW HAS 62500 AND DEALER ADVISES PUMP IS BAD AGAIN. WILL NOT COVER REPLACEMENT EVEN THOUGH IT HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED ONCE. THIS APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN SAFETY DEFECT BUT GM IS NOT ISSUING A RECALL AND THE REPLACEMENT PUMPS ARE NO BETTER THAN THE ORIGINALS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESEARCH ON THE ISSUE AND HOLDING GM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SAFETY ISSUE THAT MANY ARE EXPERIENCING. *TR
