Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD EXHIBIT A LOUD NOISE WHEN THE GEAR WAS SHIFTED ESPECIALLY WHEN IT ENGAGED IN THIRD GEAR. IN ADDITION, THE ENGINE RPMS WOULD ABNORMALLY INCREASE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,701. UPDATED 11/12/13*CN
