Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE DRIVER BEGAN TO SMELL AN ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED ON THE SHOULDER AND BEFORE THE KEYS WERE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION, FLAMES ENGULFED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT INJURY. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,617.
