Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHROME COATING ON THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES WAS SEPARATING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR LACERATIONS TO THE HAND AS A RESULT OF GRABBING THE DOOR HANDLE WITH THE CHROME SHARDS. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAD ALSO BECOME DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE FAILURES WERE DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
