Consumer Description
MY WIFE BROUGHT OUR 2013 FORD EXPLORER INTO OUR DEALERSHIP, EARLY MAY 2013, IN REGARDS TO SMELLING GAS FUMES OUTSIDE THE CAR AND THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT THE TIME MENTIONED TECHNICAL TERMS THAT MADE MY WIFE BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS NORMAL. LATER, I DROPPED OFF OUR 2013 FORD EXPLORER ON JUNE 13, 2013 (8AM ON THURS) AT OUR DEALERSHIP IN REGARDS TO PERSONALLY SMELLING GAS FUMES OUTSIDE MY WIFE'S PRIMARY CAR. THEY TOOK THE VEHICLE IN DURING OUR 2ND VISIT TO INVESTIGATE THIS GAS ODOR AND THEY CONFIRMED IT. THE SERVICE ADVISOR ALSO MENTIONED A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR A FUEL RELATED ISSUE (DURING 2ND VISIT) AND WE WERE NOT SURE IF THIS WAS RELATED AT THE TIME. MY CONCERN ARE THE FOLLOWING; WHY WAS THIS NOT TAKEN CARE OF DURING AN EARLIER VISIT AND I'M FRUSTRATED WITH THE PROTOCOL OUR DEALERSHIP FOLLOWED FOR THIS POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
