Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR POWER LIFTGATE WOULD NOT REMAIN OPEN WHEN ACTIVATED AND WOULD CLOSE ABRUPTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO STATED THAT BOTH POWER LIFTGATE GAS STRUTS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE FAILURE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 12V062000 (STRUCTURE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED.
