Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 TO 40 MINUTES, A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE POLICE AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WERE CONTACTED AND A REPORT WAS FILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ADVISED HIM THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
