Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, A SHARP METAL INSTRUMENT PIERCED THROUGH THE SEAT AND STABBED HIM IN THE LEFT LEG. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH NEWER JEEP MODELS. THE MANUFACTURER THEN INSTRUCTED THE CONTACT TO NOT REPORT THE FAILURE TO ANYONE AND THAT THEY WOULD HANDLE IT INTERNALLY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 11,243.
