Consumer Description

I STARTED RECEIVING A WARNING TO SERVICE PASSENGER AIR BAG WHENEVER MY OLDEST SON SAT IN PASSENGER SEAT. IT DID NOT OCCUR WHENEVER ANYONE ELSE SAT IN THE SEAT SO I DID NOT IMMEDIATELY ACT UPON WARNING LIGHT/BUZZER. RECENTLY I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR, SO WHEN BROUGHT TO THE DEALER, THEY FOUND A BAD ELECTRICAL SENSOR CONNECTOR UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT THAT WAS ONLY ACTIVATED WHEN MY SON'S WEIGHT WAS IN THE SEAT. A HEAVIER PERSON CLOSED THE CONNECTOR CIRCUIT, A LIGHTER PERSON WAS NOT REGISTERING IN THE SEAT. IF AN ACCIDENT HAD OCCURRED, A PASSENGER AIR BAG MALFUNCTION COULD HAVE OCCURRED WITH SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES. *TR
