Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE ENGINE FELL TO SECOND GEAR CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SHIFT BACK INTO DRIVE AND THE VEHICLE FUNCTIONED PROPERLY BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED SHORTLY THEREAFTER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
