TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE FUELING, THE CONTACT NOTICED FUEL SPILL BACK OUT OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE FILLER NECK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THERE WERE TWO RECALLS UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBERS 05V034000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLER PIPE AND CAP) AND 09V003000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY), THAT MAY BE RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN EITHER RECALL. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
