Consumer Description

REAR DRIVER SIDE LEAF SPRING BROKE. THE LEAF SPRING WAS EXTREMELY RUSTY. IT WAS A SINGLE SPRING OUT OF THE FOUR. I HAVE A RECALL NOTICE FOR RUST ON THE FRAME AND HAVE HAD THE GAS TANK STRAPS REPLACED. IS THIS A TOTAL FAILURE OF THE STEEL TOYOTA USES FOR THE FRAMES OF THEIR VEHICLES? I THINK IT'S TIME THAT THE NHTSA START FORCING RECALLS BEYOND SPRAYING ON RUST PROOFING. SO FAR THE PEOPLE REPORTING TO YOU HAVEN'T BEEN INJURED, BUT THEN I GUESS THE ONES WHO HAVE BEEN INJURED OR KILLED WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM. *TR
