Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH THE CONTACT HEARD A GROWLING AND RUMBLING NOISE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHERE THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIANS STATED THE STEERING GEAR POWER BOX, FRONT SHAFT, ARM DRAG LINK, AXLE JOINTS AND SEAL DRIVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE STEERING GEAR BOX WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND DID NOT KNOW WHEN IT WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT TRIED CONTACTING THE MANUFACTURER BUT WAS UNABLE TO SPEAK WITH TA REPRESENTATIVE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,000.
