Consumer Description
THE 5.4L ENGINE HAS A TAPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE TOP HALF OF THE MOTOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT OCCURS WHEN THE ENGINE IS IDLING AT A STAND STILL. IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY. HAVE BEEN SPEAKING WITH FORD WARRANTY AND DEALERS TRYING TO GET FIXED AND BECAUSE IT IS INTERMITTENT THEY DO NOT WANT TO WORK ON. WE HAVE TAKEN TO 2 DEALERS A TOTAL OF 3 TIMES AND SPOKEN WITH FORD WARRANTY AND THEY REFUSE TO PAY TO HAVE THE MOTOR OPENED UP AND LOOKED AT. *TR
