Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CADILLAC CTS. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED HE NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE FAILURE. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND REFERENCED RECALL 10V644000, AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE AND STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT TELL HIM IF HIS VEHICLE WAS PART OF THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED USED IN DECEMBER OF 2009. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
