TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FREESTYLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DOOR LATCHES FAILED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 06V383000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH) YET THE FAILURE PERSISTED ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS AND ONLY IN COLD TEMPERATURES. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED A SECOND TIME BY A DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT HE WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE LATCHES BY A DIFFERENT DESIGN. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
