Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT ACCELERATED FROM A COMPLETE STOP DRIVING 2 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, HE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,300. UPDATED 11/08/10 * BF THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WERE THREE OTHER OCCURRENCES AND THE HIGHEST SPEED WAS AT 40 MPH. UPDATED 11/10/10*JB
